Best Window Film Companies in Singapore: A Buyer's Guide
Who sells and installs window film in Singapore, how to check their credentials, and what to compare before you choose. Updated November 2026.
Disclosure: This guide is published by Sunolite (S) Pte Ltd, which sells window film, and Sunolite is one of the companies listed. Sunolite and Window-Cool (S) Pte Ltd — the LLumar dealer listed below — are under common ownership. LLumar is listed first because Window-Cool is its Singapore dealer; the other companies follow in alphabetical order. The order is not a ranking, and this is not an independent audit: we have not tested any company's installations.
Quick answer: There is no single best window film company for every home. In Singapore the choice usually comes down to three things: the film brand and whether the seller is verifiably authorised to sell it, who actually installs it, and how clearly the price, specifications and warranty are stated in writing. The companies below are a starting point — check each against the questions at the end.
| Company | What it is | Where to verify |
| LLumar | Global film brand; Singapore listing is Window-Cool (S) Pte Ltd | LLumar global network |
| 3M | Global film brand sold in Singapore through an authorised distributor and dealer-installers | 3M Singapore dealer page |
| Sunolite | Singapore ceramic window film seller and installer with published specs and pricing | sunolite.com |
| V-KOOL | Global film brand (Eastman); Singapore architectural film listed under V-Tint Pte Ltd | V-KOOL Singapore |
| XPEL | Global film brand; no Singapore architectural dealer listed at time of writing | XPEL installers |
How we chose what to include
We looked for companies whose authorised status or credentials can be checked somewhere other than their own marketing, and whose film specifications, warranty and pricing approach can be described from published information. Where a claim comes only from a company's own website, we say so. Where a brand has no Singapore dealer listed by its manufacturer, we say that too.
Specifications quoted below are manufacturers' or sellers' published figures. Test conditions differ between brands, so numbers from different companies are not directly comparable unless they were measured the same way.
Global brand
LLumar
LLumar is sold worldwide through country-specific distributors and dealers, which it lists on its global network page. For Singapore, that page lists Window-Cool (S) Pte Ltd, whose listed address is 50 Serangoon North Ave 4, #03-03 First Centre. Window-Cool is under the same ownership as Sunolite.
LLumar's range includes reflective and non-metallic ceramic films for homes and commercial buildings. The two behave differently on appearance and signal, so ask which type is being quoted.
- Best for
- Buyers who want a long-established global brand, including for commercial and office glass, and who want a local Singapore dealer.
- Residential ranges
-
LLumar's residential solar-control films are grouped by how they look and perform. All are described by LLumar as blocking more than 99% of UV:
- Ceramic — neutral appearance and low reflectivity, with corrosion-resistant materials and a scratch-resistant coating.
- Neutral — a subtle tint that barely changes the look of the glass.
- Reflective — the strongest heat control, with a mirror-like look from outside and a slightly reflective look from inside at night.
- Dual-reflective — reflective outside and more neutral inside, for better night-time views than reflective film.
- Spectrally selective — shades from nearly clear to light neutral grey, targeting infrared heat while letting in as much light as possible.
- Specialty (nano-ceramic) — clear-looking film for homes that cannot have a darker or more reflective look, such as under association rules.
- Low-e and Harmony — low-e adds a metallised layer for insulation as well as solar control; Harmony is a subtle film aimed at historic-home and association guidelines.
LLumar also makes decorative and safety & security films for homes.
- Availability
- LLumar notes that product availability varies by region, and its pages say the spectrally selective, low-e and Harmony films are offered only through its SelectPro dealer network. Ask the Singapore dealer which of these ranges, and which exact models, it can supply here, and compare the spec sheet for the one you are quoted.
- Warranty
- LLumar's global pages describe lifetime limited warranties on several residential films, and up to 10 years on its spectrally selective film, with "certain restrictions" and details left to the dealer. Terms vary by film and region, so ask for the written warranty for the exact model quoted, including what is covered for film and for labour, and how long it lasts.

Global brand
3M
3M is one of the best-known names in architectural window film. In Singapore, 3M's own website lists Jestac as its authorised distributor for residential and commercial film, along with several dealer-installers, and advises buying only from an authorised distributor to receive genuine product.
3M states that the film warranty is backed by 3M, while the labour warranty is provided by the authorised installer. That split is worth understanding before you buy: ask each installer for both documents.
- Best for
- Buyers who want a globally established brand and a manufacturer-backed film warranty, installed through an authorised channel.
- Residential ranges
- Series named by 3M's Singapore distributor include Prestige, Ceramic IR and Night Vision. Their appearance, reflectivity and performance differ, so compare the specific model, not just the brand.
- Worth knowing
- Several resellers present 3M film in Singapore. Only those named on 3M's own dealer pages are listed there as authorised, so check the current list.

Local seller and installer
Sunolite
Sunolite sells and installs ceramic window film for Singapore homes and offices. Its pricing is published: one rate of $8 per square foot covers film and professional installation, with existing-film removal (+$2/sqft), fixed window grills (+$1/sqft) and a flat $80 labour and transport fee for jobs under 70 sqft shown separately in its online calculator.
The range is four non-metallic ceramic films, priced at the same rate per square foot, so the choice between them is about light and heat rather than cost:
| Model | VLT | TSER | SHGC | UV rejection |
| CF9070 | 68% | 59% | 0.38 | 99% |
| CF9050 | 51% | 64% | 0.30 | 99% |
| CF9035 | 31% | 69% | 0.20 | 99% |
| CF9020 | 20% | 76% | 0.13 | 99% |
- Best for
- Homeowners who want to see the price and specifications before arranging a visit, and who want a ceramic film for solar heat and glare rather than a reflective or privacy film.
- Warranty
- Sunolite's "Stay Cool" Guarantee provides free re-installation, film and labour, for defects covered by the applicable warranty terms within the warranty period. Ask for the written terms before booking.
- Worth knowing
- Sunolite's published range is solar-control ceramic film only; it does not list frosted, decorative or safety film. Specifications are Sunolite's published figures and have not been independently verified by this guide.

Global brand
V-KOOL
V-KOOL is a spectrally selective window film brand owned by Eastman Chemical Company. Its architectural range is sold as iQUE by V-KOOL, in three series: Spectrally Selective (FG), Safety & Security, and Performance. V-KOOL's Singapore website lists three retail stores. Two are marked automotive film and paint protection only; the third, V-Tint Pte Ltd at 21 Playfair Road, is marked as also handling architectural film.
V-KOOL's Singapore site states that the warranty on iQUE architectural film is provided by the authorised dealer and covers discoloration, peeling, cracking, delamination and demetalisation caused solely by defects in manufacture, materials or installation. Read the full terms before you buy.
- Best for
- Buyers who want an infrared-reflective film from a single established manufacturer and who are comfortable with a more reflective look than a non-metallic ceramic film.
- Worth knowing
- Reflective films can have a visible mirror effect from outside. If you live in an HDB flat or a condominium with façade rules, check the film's reflectance against the limit before ordering. V-Tint's claims to be an "authorised distributor" and one of only a few in Singapore come from its own website; V-KOOL's own site lists it as a retail store.

Global brand
XPEL
XPEL is best known for automotive paint protection film. It also makes home and office window film, which it sells through a separate architectural dealer programme with its own training and warranty.
At the time of writing, XPEL's installer locator lists one Singapore installer, Exotic Wrap in Ang Mo Kio, and its products are paint protection film, ceramic coating and automotive window tint. We did not find a Singapore dealer listed for XPEL's home and office window film.
- Best for
- Buyers who specifically want XPEL film for home or office glass. Expect to confirm availability, because no local architectural dealer is listed.
- Worth knowing
- If a Singapore company offers XPEL window film for buildings, ask it to show that it is an XPEL-certified architectural dealer and to give you XPEL's warranty terms for the exact film. The locator may not be updated immediately when dealers are added, so ask XPEL directly if in doubt.

How to compare any window film company
- Check authorised status at the source. Look for the company on the manufacturer's own dealer or distributor page, not only on the company's website. Exclusive-supplier claims should be confirmed with the manufacturer.
- Ask who installs. Some companies use their own staff; others subcontract. Either can be fine, but you should know which, and who is responsible if something goes wrong.
- Compare the same specification. Ask for VLT, TSER and SHGC for the exact film model and the test conditions. A single "heat rejection" percentage, or an infrared-only figure, does not describe total solar heat performance.
- Get the warranty in writing. Check who provides it, how long it lasts, whether labour is covered as well as film, and what voids it.
- Compare the full job, not the rate. Ask whether removal, access, small-job fees and preparation are included, and what a quotation excludes.
- See a sample on your own glass. Judge the shade in your room, at the time of day it is uncomfortable.
- Check building rules. HDB limits daylight reflectance to 20%, and condominium management bodies can set their own façade rules. See our HDB and MCST guide.
Questions to ask before you book
- Which exact film model is quoted, and what are its VLT, TSER and SHGC?
- Are you listed on the manufacturer's dealer or distributor page?
- Is the installation done by your own team?
- What does the warranty cover for film and for labour, and can I see it before I pay?
- What is not included in this quotation?
- What should I keep after installation? (See our handover guide.)
The most reliable comparison is on paper: ask each company for the film model, the specification sheet, the warranty terms and the full quotation, then compare them side by side.
